INTECO’s Information Security Observatory, as part of a joint project with the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), publishes a series of 12 guides with the aim to help users configure privacy options and maintain the security of their profiles in the main social networks.
The analysis is structured according to the three key moments when it is possible to identify risks to security and privacy in this type of open platforms:
The information used for the preparation of these guides has been directly taken from the websites of each of the analysed social networks. Their purpose is to help users of these services, without under any circumstances intending to replace the information and support provided by the platforms themselves.
