The use of electronic mail, the access to the Internet, the acceptance of the electronic signature as a way to take on contractual obligations, the automated processing of data and information regarding the worker or the teleworking model are some of the expressions of new technologies within the company. These big changes raise new work-related legal situations which must be dealt with. A priori we can point out: the use of ICTs by workers for non-business purposes or the measures which entrepreneurs can adopt in the exercise of their disciplinary power. For these situations, the Law is responsible for finding the right balance between the use of New Technologies in the working environment and the respect of fundamental rights.
