The Wi-Fi network is a connection method which offers unquestionable benefits to the users, since it combines connection and mobility simultaneously.
When installing a wireless network certain measures must be adopted to minimize the risks of a security incident happening. Thus, the access of third parties to the company’s information, the use of the network for malicious ends or the overuse of bandwidth (with the subsequent deterioration of the performance of the company) are possible situations within the context of wireless networking.
This Guide is addressed at companies, especially SMEs, providing measures to protect their Wi-Fi network. It differentiates between basic measures, which can be approached by people with general knowledge of security, and advanced measures, which guarantee an additional element of security and for which specific technical instruction is required.
The "Guide to protect your home Wi-Fi wireless network", which offers security advices to domestic users, will be also available in this section soon.
