Study on the Situation of Security and Good Practices in Mobile Devices and Wireless Networks

The National Institute of Communication Technologies (INTECO), through its Information Security Observatory, has published a ‘Study on the Situation of Security and Good Practices in Mobile Devices and Wireless Networks’ in order to know the state of the different wireless technologies available on the market and their access devices.
The study analyses the characteristics of each technology from the point of view of security and identifies the most common solutions to avoid the risks associated to its use, with the aim of promoting the culture of security among SMEs and individuals. Furthermore, a series of recommendations of action is also analysed in order to avoid unnecessary risks when using wireless technologies.
