The survey to more than 3,500 Internet users conducted in June 2010 all over Spain, confirms an elevated degree of security tools adoption and a satisfactory level of confidence in Internet. In addition, the 10,000 online analyses performed on studied computers ensures the validity of gathered data about real level of system infections.
As usual in previous lectures, most common security measures taken are antivirus software (91,7%), operating system and program updates (80,9%) and firewalls (80,0%). Besides, 91,6% of panellists admit trusting the Internet. These are positive data that confirms the progress in security culture among Spanish society.
