INTECO's Information Security Observatory publishes the results of the 12th wave of the Study on information security and e-Trust in Spanish households for the 1st quarter of 2010.
An all-time low in malware detection was recorded for the third consecutive quarter: in March 2010, 52.8% of computers contained some form of malicious code. This is the data obtained from 11,854 online analyses performed on the 5,212 computers making up the panel.
This report describes the security tools installed on home personal computers and studies in depth the security habits adopted by Internet users. Once again, antivirus, firewall and operating system updates are the most common security measures taken by Spanish households.
The full report is only available in Spanish and the executive summary in Spanish and English.
