The National Institute of Communication Technologies (INTECO), through its Information Security Observatory, releases the “Study on the ICT Security sector in Spain”, with the aim to provide a detailed and current view of the security market in our country, pointing out its needs and opportunities.
This is the first report of the Group for Analysis and Research on Information Security and e-Trust. This initiative, promoted by INTECO, resulted in the setting up of a group of experts on security with the purpose of contributing to the formulation of a diagnosis on the current situation of the ICT sector in Spain.
In this expert group or “think tank” the main actors of the Spanish ICT sector are represented: government, industry, university and ICT sector associations. The study undertakes a diagnosis of the present and future situation of the information security ad e-trust in Spain, providing data on the main trends in the sector, its market and business models, and advising on the role which every actor should play in order to boost and develop security and e-trust.
