This current report is the eighth issue of "Estudio sobre la seguridad de la información y e-confianza en los hogares españoles". By conducting periodic surveys and undertaking online analysis of the equipment comprising the sample, the study enables a diagnosis of the changing situation of Spanish households connected to the Internet concerning information security and e-confidence.

The ultimate objective of the study is the promotion of knowledge and monitoring the main indicators and public policies related to information security and e-confidence. Thus, the report is intended to support the adoption of measures by the Administration.

The period analysed spans the months from December 2008 to February 2009.
