INTECO and Orange announce the results of the Study on safety and privacy in the use of mobile services by Spanish minors.
The report – elaborated by the Information Security Observatory – constitutes a diagnostic on the use of the mobile phone among the Spanish children and adolescents of 10-16 years: how do the children access the mobile telephony, what is the real incidence of the risks, how do they react to the incidents and what security habits do they adopt in the use. The double perspective of the minor and of his/her mother or father, as the key actor in the education of the child, is offered.
For the elaboration of the study a survey of opinion was carried out with 644 personal inquiries in Spanish households, making two interviews in each family: with the minor and with the father, the mother or the legal tutor. The field work was carried out in January of 2010. The results of the study are completed with the contributions of 55 experts (professionals and institutions) belonging to different areas of knowledge, that contributed a qualitative and multidisciplinary vision to the project of investigation.
