Within today’s Information Society, passwords constitute the first level of protection for accessing different personal resources, both those hosted locally and online. Therefore, passwords are also a desired target for attackers, who use increasingly sophisticated and effective methods to obtain these keys.
Password management software tools provide strong encryption against these attacks and varied functions such as the random generation of passwords or their secure storage and use. All this without the user having to remember every single personal key.
This article addresses these issues and gives recommendations on how to create and manage passwords correctly.
