Through cryptography it is possible to design methods to encrypt information so that it can only be available to the people it is addressed to. This is a very old technique and, for a long time, it has been linked to military, religious and trade circles. Nowadays, the need to protect information has caused cryptography to spread into usual activities.
Cryptography has been growing in complexity over time, and the techniques used to prevent an original message from being deciphered are becoming increasingly intricate.
