INTECO is actively engaged in promoting secure Information Society Services, to ensure user privacy and personal data security, information integrity, as well as strict compliance with ICT legislation, to avoid any kind of risk.
INTECO coordinates public initiatives regarding the ICT sector, which are reflected in the services of the Information Security Observatory, INTECO´s Computer Emergency Response Team (INTECO-CERT) that provides a catalogue of companies and ICT Security Solutions, and the Security Helpdesk for Internet Users (OSI). Such services are aimed at citizens, SMEs, Public Administrations and Technological Sector.
INTECO is actively engaged in the promotion of more accessible Information Society Services. INTECO works to remove barriers in the social, technical and disability fields, facilitating the progressive integration of different user´s communities into the Information Society.
Particularly noteworthy is INTECO´s wide experience with Digital TV accessibility projects and e-government (citizens rights to e-government are enshrined on the Spanish Act 11/2007 of 22nd June on Citizens Electronic Access to Public Services -LAE-).

The Laboratorio Nacional de Calidad del Software promotes Software industry competitiveness and contributes to improve the certifications and quality systems of software engineering companies.
Training is a key factor to attract and retain talented employees and to improve the companies competitiveness. For that reason INTECO promotes the specialist training for university students and professionals, on the most demanded technologies.
